Abstract

The objects (3) typically bottles fed by a conveyor (1) between pairs of vertically spaced metal guide tubes (6). The tubes on the outside of the corner curve through an arc centered on a vertical axis (5) about which the transfer wheel (4) rotates. The tubes on the inside of the corner form only straight inlet and outlet guide sections. The bottles are forced against the elastic outer surface (4a) of the wheel, typically an automobile wheel tyre, because the tubes on the outside of the corner are spaced from the tyre a distance less than the bottle diameter and the tyre transfers the bottles over a support plate (7) to the second conveyor (2). The conveyors are typically at different speeds (V1, V2).
