Abstract

The burner consists of a tube with four orifices at the closed outer end. The tube is filled with a rod which allows an annulus for the liquid fuel. The burner is connected to a gas cylinder at the other end. A collar may be screwed onto the outlet connection of the cylinder with an O-ring forming a seal. The burner is initially used with the tube vertical and then the tube is inclined downwards to produce a partial evaporisation of the gas which is in a liquid phase, this liquid phase produces an enlarged flame and the tube is urged into the wood or charcoal.
