Abstract

A system for forcing dry air into cavities such as waveguides and coaxial cables, uses two dessicators which are operated alternately so that while one is regenerated, the other is in operation, the whole being operated by an electrical control system with a monitoring and an alarm system. This control system includes a switching system with a pair of actuator motors which operate alternately with control spindles carrying slowly rotating synchronised cams which actuate the valves controlling the inputs and outputs of the diaphragm type dessicators. The power supply of one switching motor is controlled by a contact on the cam system of the other motor and vice versa. The monitoring and alarm systems are powered by an independent battery.
