Abstract

A hydraulic piston motor produces the linear movement while a hydraulic motor generates the rotary movement. Both the hydraulic motor and a direction selection valve are so constructed that by supplying a pressure medium to one side of the piston of the piston motor, the constructional group formed by the pivoting bogie and the grading shield is turned about its axis of rotation to bring it into the desired position. Should an excession load be exerted on the shield pressure medium can be released from the chamber on the particular side of the motor piston, through a valve unit at the end of the piston housing.
