Abstract

The extremity of the handle (4) is perforated to keep it dry during play and to reduce shocks transmitted from the strings. The central longitudinal channel (5) is open at, at least, one of its extremities and is reinforced (9), the open end being reinforced by an internal support ring. It communicates with transversal holes which join it to perforations on the outside of the handle. The handle is covered by a ribbon which is perforated, the perforations communicating with the transversal holes. Instead of perforations the surface of the handle can have open longitudinal grooves which communicate with the aeration holes.
