Abstract

The antennae are at a distance from each other not equal to half the received wavelength, or a multiple of it. The switch responds to the volume of signals received. The switch comprises a level detector which delivers a d. c. signal corresponding to the signal volume. Means responding to this d.c. signal switch over the receiver from one antenna to the other when the signal volume is velow a normal value. The means comprise a pulse generator made inoperative by a d.c. signal when it exceeds a nominal value; a bistable circuit tripped from one stable state to another by consecutive pulses from the pulse generator, and switching circuit operated by the bistable circuit.
