Abstract

The light fitting housing is of plastic, comprising a base for attachment to a supporting surface, a lamp mounting bracket, and an enclosing cover. The mounting bracket (16) has two lateral grooves fitting over the sides (10) of the base (1), and a shoulder running along both sides adjacent to the grooves, to act as a seating for the cover (3). It can also have grooves open towards the inside, in which a plate (28) fits, carrying the electric components. These grooves and the plate can run at right angles to the grooves fitting over the base sides. Catches are preferably provided to hold the mounting in place on the base.
