Acylaminopyrimidines of formula (I) (where Ar is phenul opt. substd. by one or more halogens, CF3, OCH2O, one or more MeO, 1-4C alkyl or Me2N; R is CONRMR2 and R1 and R2 are H or 1-4C alkyl or NR1R2 is pyrrolidino, morpholino, piperidino or piperazino opt. N-substd. by 1-4C alkyl or phenyl, or R i s(O(CH2)n NR3R4 and R3 and R4 are 1-3C alkyl or NR3R4 is morpholino, pyrrolidino, ino, piperidino or hexamethyleneimino and n is 1-5, or R is is COOR5 and R5 is 1-4C alkyl, 2-3-di-hydroxypropyl or 2, 2-dimethyldioxolon-4-yl methyl or R is hydroxy carbonyl methyl) are used as e.g. sedatives, antiinflammatory, anti-ulcer, vasodilating, anti-broncho-constructing and anticholinergic agents and diuretics.
