Abstract

Fuel injection system for gas mixture in external ignition combustion engines, with a distributor unit and metering valves, which are commonly adjustable to vary the flow section and determine the fuel volume passing to the injection valves. The meering results at constant pressure differential, while a valve is connected in the fuel stream downstream of each metering valve and this valve is variable in section by a flexible component dividing two chambers. In the first chamber the fuel pressure acts on the flexible component in the sense of opening the valve. At least one valve is an equal pressure valve adn one is a differential pressure control valve, whose first chamber is connected with the second chamber of each equal pressure valve. Between the fuel supply line and a control pressure circuit is a first throttle and downstream of this the second chamber of the differential pressure control valve. The differential pressure at the metering valves is varied by varying the pressure difference at the first throttle by a magnetic valve via a storage unit and a second throttle.
