Abstract

The multiple pin connector has each cylindrical contact pin locked axially inside the connector plate by means of a collar and locking fins. The pin is prevented from rotating whilst the connecting wire is wound around its protruding upper end by a spring collar (9). The spring collar is square, has a central square hole (11) for the square upper end of the pin,and four sprung flaps (12) that press radially outwards against the walls of the circular hole in the connector plate. The spring collar is located in the mouth of the circular hole. The plug part of the contact pin protrudes from the opposite face of the connector plate.
