Abstract
The machine has a rotor (1) with radial blades (2) mounted on a boss (3) attached to a shaft (4). The assembly of rotor and shaft is mounted on a turn-table (7) attached to a base (8) forming part of a braced structure (9) which is anchored to the sea bed with blocks (10). The machine depends on the fact that at any given depth the particles of water move in elliptical orbits under the influence of the swell. the blades (2) are so shaped that the rotor rotates in the same direction irrespective of the direction of motion of the particles. The vane (5) ensures the correct alignment of the rotor with respect to the motion of the particles.
