Abstract
The input is a square wave of some kind and the ideal output consists of a repeated ramp waveform with very fast flyback. The capacitance is discharged through a diode rather than through a transistor base as in the Miller integrator. The effect of this is to allow the transistor to cut off immediately, giving a better flyback with a time constant dependent on the collector resistance and feedback capacitance. Two circuits are presented. In one, a single transistor is used and the feedback capacitance is connected to the junction of two diodes in series to earth from the transistor base. In the other version, three diodes in series used with a two transistor amplifier.
