Abstract

The input, storage and output of data to a computer determines a three-dimensional arrangement, typically a landscape. The data are represented on a topographical map in the form of curved lines, polygons, symbols and numbers and are divided into two groups for input. The first relate to physical particulars, including type, height, reflectivity of the object and the second to geographical particulars. The data are input in coded form into a memory store and subsequently read out into an arithmetic unit where the data relating to geographic particulars are compared with predetermined values.
