Abstract

The anti vibration mountings are suitable for lorry mounted engines, particularly contractor's plant engines operating on rough ground. Each anti-vibration mounting has two resilient blocks. The lower block is fixed to the base of the mounting and carries the top block at the central stud. The top block which carries the engine held there is fixed to the base of the mounting at the studs. The bottom block fits under a bell and the top block has a lower flange which is normally close to the bell. The bottom block damps out the vibrations in conjunction with the upper block.
