Abstract

A machine for forming rows os stones in a field, ready for collection by another machine, has a rotor (1) mounted on a frame running on wheels (3) and attached to a tractor at (4). The rotor comprises a tubular shaft on which angle brackets are welded. These bear tines (6). Plates which connect the brackets act as reinforcements. On the frame are cross-beams (9a, 9b, 9c, 9d) connecting it to frames (11, 2, 12a). A sheet metal plate integral with one side is perpendicular to the soil. The tractor power take off shaft (16) is attached to support (11) and the drive is taken by shaft (18) to pulleys (21, 22) which turn the shaft in anti-clockwise direction, (when seen from the front), at a slow speed. stones are passed from tine to tine and finally come up against plate (13), forming a row as the machine moves forward.
