Abstract

Each of the resonator has base plates (4, 5) of superconductive metal, and dielectric sheets (23) contiguous with the base plates (4, 5), a central plate (1) of superconductive metal being inserted between the dielectric sheets (2, 3), so that the base plates (4, 5), dielectric sheets (2, 3) and central plate (1) form the line band sections, the length of which determine the resonance frequency. Each resonator also has dielectric strips which are triangular at the end, and with grooves in the dielectric sheets (2, 3) which each provide a slideway for a respective strip and with means for controlling the position of the strips accessible from outside the cyrogenic enclosure. Pref. the dielectric sheets and the cover plates for the resonator have the same coefficient of thermal contraction.
