Abstract
A transmission from an aircraft is detected by an airport rotating aerial system. The signal received, phase modulated by the rotation and being a function of the aircrafts transmitter, is processed to provide aircraft position data. The process includes correlation by modulation following a law analogous to those of the detected signals. This correlation is then followed by an integration. The aerial system consists of two aerials mounted at the ends of an arm which rotates around a central axis. The signals detected by either of the electrodes are mixed with the outputs of two local oscillation, and after common amplification, from the object of a quadratic detection.
