Abstract
Samples of sodium products after deliberate or accidental combustion are taken and stored in a neutral gas such as argon thus avoiding the chemical action which would take place in the atmosphere. A closed casing (1) has an opening (2) permitting access to the interior of an enclosure (3) containing a sealed container of sodium products. A rack (5) in a cylindrical case (4) is moved by a control mechanism (6). This case has a slot (7) permitting a transfer claw (8) to move a saucer shaped test dish (10) from the rack (5) to the opening (2) and is activated by a control unit (9). A sealing plate (11) moved by a controller (12) moves the test dish (10) into the opening. Tests dishes are replaced by non-polluted dishes through the area (18) containing the rack recipient.
