Abstract

A paying-in flap designed so that there is insufficient space for introducing a weapon through the access opening, consists of an open topped container with a sloping rear face with a handle attached mounted on a horizontal hinge near the front, so that when empty, the front is at an angle to the partition and the rear is vertical, closing the gap. Then, when an article has been placed inside, the container is swung back, the front opening is sealed, and a latch at the rear holds the container in a closed position. The hinge is completely protected and enclosed by teh front frame. A spring underneath returns the container to the ready position when the latch is released.
