Abstract

The device consists of a vertical column (8) which carries a horizontal arm (10). On each end of the arm is a horizontal pincer (12). The pincer is carried on an adjustable linkage (14) by which the height of the pincer is regulated. Each pincer is capable of rotating about a vertical axis (13). The objects to be palletised are picked up from a feed conveyor by the pincers. The vertical column then rotates 180 deg. so that the objects are then over the pallet (9), where they are released. The pincers return empty to pick up the next load. The speed of the machine can match the speed of production exactly.
