Abstract

Device to automatically turn bottle top sealing discs so that they present the required face in a subsequent operation. The discs (1) arrive horizontally above a vertical channel (2). A photo-electric cell (5) senses which way up it is, and moves a pivoted arm (3) accordingly. In falling down the channel the disc is turned so that all discs reach the bottom with the same orientation, and can be moved in direction (W) to the next operation. The photo-electric cell can sense either colour or texture differences between the opposite faces of the sealing discs. The tilting lever is pivoted about an axis perpendicular to the axis of the channel.
