Abstract

The process is for use with flexible material such as paper, two flat strips of which are fed to a joining zone, while their sides are brought towards each other to form them into a hollow shape. The sides are fitted together, one on top of the other, to produce a tube and secured together, typically by hot gluing, and the tube is parted off from the individual strips in the desired lengths. The tube formed can be removed from the joining zone by moving suction devices delivering it to a storage zone, where the vacuum is cut off in order to release it.
