Abstract

The motor has a stator (1) on mounting feet (2) and containing a toroidal rotor (3) which consists of a series of floats (4) separated by mechanisms for transmitting the reaction of the liquid. The rotor is held in position by three wheels (5) supported on roller bearings (6) in blocks (7) attached to the stator. The stator has a vertical partition (11) running between bellows type sealing joints (8) round the rotor. Each mechanism between the floats has a spring loaded piston which pushes out two semi-circular sealing plates against the sides of the rotor and is pulled back against the spring by an electromagnet (19) at the top of the stator. The machine is put in motion by being filled with any suitable liquid.
