Abstract

Adhesive film comprising a laminate of two layers of film where the films are subject to different levels of tension as they are laminated. The constituent films are precoated with adhesive to any pattern which provides an adhesive bonded interface and at least one adhesive external face. Equipment dispenses the component films from rolls subject to different and controlled levels of friction braking. Films can be made which when released or annealed develope a predictable degree of curvature, or laminates of different film materials to obtain a composite tape of zero curvature.
