Abstract

A mechanism for e.g. controlling the heald of a loom includes several levers mounted on a common shaft, each lever being cut from sheet steel and having a hole through which the shaft passes. A spacer element is secured to each lever at a position displaced radially with respect to the hole, whereby to maintain correct separation of the levers on the shaft. The levers are cheaper to produce than levers which are cast and which have bosses surrounding the hole for the shaft. The expensive subsequent machining of the end faces of the bosses is eliminated.
