Abstract

Fluorescent lamp of low thermal inertia, partic. for use in an electrostatic copier, capable of being maintained at a temp. which ensures a high light yield, in which the fluorescent tube carries a resistance layer to which an igniter current can be supplied. More esp. this layer can be carried on the outside or supported on the inside of the tube. Provides a lamp with a fast warm-up while maintaining the optimum light yield.
