Abstract

A plate (1) fits over an opening (2) in the silo bottom. A ring (7) underneath acts as a support for a ring gear (8) in mesh with a pinion (15) on a reduction motor box (14). This gear fits on a base (10) carrying a cylindrical housing (11), inside which is a radial Archimedean screw (24). One end of the screw has a chain drive (25, 32) and reduction and motor and gear box (28). A bearing (22) fits in a partition wall (20) forming part of a separate compartment (19). A cover (16) fits over the housing. Contents fall into a hopper (35, 36, 37) and are discharged (40, 41) into the evacuation duct (39).
