Abstract

Each switching unit consisting of an integrated circuit and has n outputs, p inputs, np controllable switching elements connecting any unit output with any input; n address inputs for coded address reception and for marking unit inputs for switching through the corresponding switching elements; and at least two clock pulse inputs, through which the address writing and their retransmission to the switching elements is controlled. n address generators are allocated to a group of m switching units. They are outside the printed circuit board, connected in parallel with the respective address inputs and they deliver cyclically addresses to these switching units. A clock pulse generator supplies cyclically the switching units with writing pulse trains so that n addresses can be consecutively stored in each switching unit. A common timing circuit is provided on the printed circuit board, which controls retransmission of the stored addresses.
