Abstract

The air chamber consists of several compartments which are connected together or independent. If the chamber is in one piece, then it is separated by membranes (1) forming several compartments each with its air valve. Where there are several chambers there is a reinforcement in each, screwed to the valve. This enables chambers to be fitted or replaced without having to remove the wheel. In the event of a puncture, the vehicle is able to run fairly well on the sections remaining inflated.
