Abstract

A device for holding objects, e.g. tubes, consists of two identical circular shells, the faces of which have several radial hollowings of semicircular section, so that when the two shells are brought together face to face the hollowings form holes of circular section, in which the objects may be put. Flexible tongues formed in the hollowings hold the object firmly. Alternatively, the elements may be rectangular with apertures, so that the contents of objects such as sample tubes may be inspected. The holders are partic. suitable for holding sample tube for laboratory analysis, mechanical parts of surgical instruments. They are simple and cheap to construct and they hold firmly the objects which are put in them.
