Abstract

Triazolobenzodiazepines of formula (I) and acid addn. salts are new: (where R and R1 = 1-3C alkyl or NRR1 is 4-methylpiperazino; and R2 and R3 = F or Cl). (I) show sedative, hypnotic, anticonvulsant, tranquillising, muscle relaxant and antidepressant activity in mammals and birds. They are administered e.g. as feed additives or in other usual oral or parenteral forms. The H2SiF6 salts of (I) are moth-proofing agents and the trichloracetates are herbicides active against various grasses.
