Abstract

Novel cpds. of formula (I): (where R is 1-6C alkyl, phenyl (opt. substd. by hydroxy or acetoxy) or a heterocyclic gp. such as furyl or thienyl), modify the narcotic effect of hexobarbital. LD50 values are >0.3 g/kg. The cpds. may also be used as complements for e.g. tranquillisers or antidepressants due to their CNS action. Daily doses are 50-300mg.
