Abstract

A quick action connection for the cross-bow type weapon used by a skin diver so that the weapon can be easily and safely fastened to a safety buoy, employs a cut-out (5) in the top of the rear part of the butt (1, 2) of the weapon, with a rod (4) of suitable diameter secured between the sides of the cut-out, across the gap, so that the snap hook (6) on the end of the cable attached to the buoy can engage the rod (4) with a simple action by the diver. The butt of the weapon may be in two pieces, thus simplifying the manufacture of the cut-out, and the rod (4) may form part of the connection between the two pieces (1, 2).
