Abstract

System of removing bulk material from storage containers enables elimination of the formation of voids within the material. A number of screw transporters (2) are arranged across the floor of the storage container (1), each driven by an electric motor (10) via a reduction gear (9). The other ends of the screws are supported in bearings (4). Each transporter discharges into a duct (7) which guides the material on to a conveyor (8) for removal. The screws can be parallel in position or can radiate from a common point. Material is removed uniformly over the entire width of the store.
