Abstract

On the chassis (13) is a well, used to locate the battery (3) which is removable and is held in place by quick action fasteners clamping onto flanges on the side of the battery box. On top are connectors (7) for plugging into the charging supply. At the side of the box is a take off point (6) used for powering attachments such as hedge trimmers or motorised scythes (9, 10). The battery can be used to drive the lawn mower and may be replaced by a low voltage supply fed through a transformer. The battery can be removed and used remotely, when slopes are cut. The chassis is wheel mounted and has a snap fastened and easily removable cover.
