Cpd. (I) is prepd. by reacting cpd. (II) with cpd. (III): (where R1, R2 and R3 are H or Me; (I) and (III) may be in d,1 or d-1 configuration). (I) have normolipaemic activity and activate the metabolism of artery walls, and may be used for treating hyperlipaemia, hypercholesteraemia or esp. arteriosclerosis and other vascular disorders.
