Abstract

Each cylinder of the pair mounted beneath the cross-bar runs in contrary direction, and has on the underneath side a truncated cone shaped flange which holds the cutter blades which are pushed outwards by centrifugal force. The underneath of each cylinder has a saucer-shaped support shoe which, preferably, rotates freely on their own axis. The flange of each cylinder has pockets round its edge pointing outwards and slanting downwards. Each pocket holds a cutter-blade on the top side of the flange, and is protected by a cover-plate at the same height as the flange. Each pocket is open at the top behind the fixture point of the cutter blade. The radial distance of the cutter blade fixture point is further from a point on the outside edge of the cover plate than the tangential distance of the fixture point from a point on the side edge of the cover-plate.
