Abstract

The thigh prosthesis comprises a stump-receiving sleeve, a thigh frame articulated to the sleeve, a lower leg frame connected to the thigh frame by means of a knee joint and a foot articulated to the leg frame. The articulated connections are arranged that all the members pivot in a sagittal plane, mechanical interconnecting means between the sleeve and lower leg frame constraining the members, excluding the foot, to have one degree of freedom of movement, and stop means to prevent the knee joint from recurration. The mechanical interconnecting means preferably includes a link having one end articulated to an arm extending from the leg frame.
