Abstract

A wall mounted container (1) holds four layers of sticks (3), each being separated by pair of paper sheets (10, 11, 12) to prevent mixing. A counterweight (18) on top ensures no jamming occurs and runs in a vertical slot (17) in the side of the container, and is preloaded using an elastic band (22). A knurled knob (42) at the rear is connected to a set of four cams (40), one for each layer, mounted on a common shaft (29). Each cam has a peg (28) on its edge staggered 90 deg. w.r.t. that of the preceding cam. As the knob is turned, the peg pushes, in turn, a stick from each layer out through a slot (23).
