Abstract

The body of the connector (1) is of normal construction, with an internal flexible sealing collar (2) and a part (1) threaded onto a connection sleeve (3) screwing into a corresponding part (4) adjacent the tyre tube. The securing part consists of a lever (6) and a locking plate (7). The lever is metal or a flexible substance. The lever has two ears which pass around the sides of the connector and hinge on pins in the connector body. A small tongue at the bottom of the lever enters a hole (7a) in the rear of the locking plate and controls the movement of the latter. The top of the lever is folded to form a spring bearing against the outside of the sleeve (3).
