Abstract

A petrol pump which includes a metering device with a numbering system which can be read by the customer and with a slot for a card inserted by the customer, so that the card is printed with the amount dispensed, is followed by a three way valve so that the fuel can be dispensed either by a flexible tube for small quantities, or by a second tube for delivery in larger amounts. This three way valve is connected by e.g. a bowden cable to the resetting mechanism of the metering device so that no fuel will flow during resetting and the two discharge lines are kept completely separate. The three way valve has a cup shape valve member which is rotated by the operating lever, and actuates a spring loaded latch to operate the lever system for the resetting device.
