5-Phenylazothiazoles of formula (I) (where R is H, alkyl; R1 is H or one to three Me, halogen, NO2, -OMe, -OEt; R2 is H, alkyl) are veterinary anthelmintics esp. active against ascarids and ankylostomes. Preferred does 10-50 mg/kg/day. Cpds. (I) are prepd. by reacting rhodanines of formula (II) with diazonium salts of formula (III).
