Abstract

Combined spoon and thermometer designed for amateur or professional culinary purposes, esp, sauce cooking where temperatures of mixed consistituents is critical, is a spoon embodying a temperature sensing and indicating device which is pref. a thermometer. The thermometer (10) is contained in a conduit (3) fashioned co-axially within the handle (2), with its reservoir (11) sited and exposed in the conventionally concave spoon bowl (1). The hollow cylindrical handle has a longitudinal thermometer observation slot, this handle screwing (2a) into the spoon bowl, with a button (4) and foam rubber pad (12) locating the thermometer, and being graduated.
