Abstract
The angular speed measuring device, has an optical sensor (10) with a 'Y' shaped light pipe made up of two sets of fibres (11), (12) joined to a common branch (13). The latter (13) is supported by a block (14) and penetrates through the case (1b) of the motor to end perpendicularly and opposite the rotor (7). One set (11) of fibres starts opposite a light source (16) such as a filament lamp and the other set (12) of fibres starts opposite a photosensitive sensor (17) such as a photoelectric cell. The light from the lamp (16) is transmitted by the fibres (11), reflected by the conductors of the printed circuit rotor (7) and transmitted by the fibres (12) to generate pulses at the photoelectric cell (17).
