Abstract
The structure is intended for reflectors between 5 and 15 meters diameter. The reflector and its supporting structure may be in one or more sections bolted together to form a complete dish. The reflecting element is made up of metal sheets integral with four underlying radial stiffening ribs per reflector section. The ribs are cut away where practical to minimise weight. Two main strengthening ribs on the inner sections run as circles at fixed radii from the centre and the radial ribs of the sections are bolted together and mounting lugs are provided towards the reflector centre. Reinforcement bars connect the radial ribs of the outer sections.
