Abstract

3-Halo-4-heterocyclic substd. phenylalkanoic acids of formula: (where Z is -CH2.CH2- opt. substd. by one or two 1-2C alkyl an A is H; = CH-CH2 where A is a second bond between the C atom and Z; X is O or S; Hal is halogen; R1 is H, 1-4C alkyl), and their salts and esters, of the acids I are antiinflammatory agents, e.g. for treating rheumatic and similar disorders. The dose is 100-1000 mg/day for adults.
