Abstract
The quick-operation electromagnet uses a yoke of unlaminated iron and an armature which forms together with the yoke a magnetic conductor. Armature and yoke have the same wall thickness over the whole path of the magnetic flux. This thickness does not exceed the depth of penetration of the rising magnetic flux at the moment of operation of the armature. The electromagnet arrangement results in a more rapid operation of the magnet without increasing its manufacturing cost. Its main application is in the field of petrol injection for petrol engines.
