Abstract

Stabilizers have the formula (I): where R (same or different) is Me or Et and Z1,Z2,Z3,Z4, Z5 and Z6 (same or different) = H, OH, alkyl, alkoxy or halogen. The stabilizers are added at 0.1-10 wt. % on dry wt. of the polymer compsn. They are compatible with the catalysts used in the urethane-forming reaction (tert, amines heavy metal derivs, acids and acid chlorides) and are generally added together with the reactants in the urethane-forming reaction. Prods. have excellent resistance to ageing e.g. by heat, UV and oxidation.
