Abstract

The trailer brake control housing has coaxial control pistons, with each piston fitted with a double action valve to serve as inlet/outlet valves, coupled to two pressure reservoirs. The control valves are spring loaded in the same directions and are arranged to act together. This enables safer braking to be effected. The brake input line is one side of one control piston while the venting line is on the other side of the other control piston for a simple layout. Both control pistons are floating and fitted into similar bores for extra simplicity.
