Abstract

Rigid, thermoformable laminate comprising: a core of thin foam sheets adhered with heat deformable adhesive, exterior skin sheets of non-cellular thermoplastic polymer adhered to the core sheets with heat deformable adhesive. The laminate is formed with parallel uniform core sheets, then heat treated so that in selected areas the foam layers expand, the skin retaining the same thickness. The laminae can move laterally during themo-forming.
